 It's just a terrible thing that they're going to come back from 18 months of sacrifice where they have risked their lives and have a disaster of this nature (and) don't have a home to come back to,

 We are here today to pay tribute to all the soldiers who risked their lives to defend freedom, even though they did not enjoy those freedoms back home.

 You're going to feel good. But no matter how much rehab you do, you can't speed up the healing process. I'd rather a guy come back in 14 months and pitch seven, eight, nine more years than come back in 10 months and get hurt again. You can't mess with mom and dad ? Mother Nature and Father Time. Nature will heal it if you give it time.

 Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. We thought it was the best thing for us to do. Let them have the opportunity to get back home, straighten out their personal lives if there is anything that has to be done and get them away from the heavy concentration on basketball so they can come back with a clean slate.

 This text is a recipe for disaster, and many developing countries will not be able to convince people back home that they have come back with a good deal.

 Graeme said if we left him in Australia and gave him a decent spell he could come back as good as any horse in the country, ... but I said we could do that here so we brought him home. He came back in December and we gave him four months out and then four months of jogging up. He's filled out a bit but he could fill out a bit more.  The thing everybody's got to remember is our goal is simple. We want to play in New Orleans. That's our home. But we can't. We can't come back even if the facility was clean because there's nobody else there. The city will come back. We don't know how long it will take, therefore we've got to find a temporary home.

 Did it change their lives for the better? Yeah. I would have to say it has. I don't think anyone has come and said, 'I want to give the money back. This is too terrible.

 I feel terrible for those people. They're still trying to get their lives back together. I see it and I just can't stop watching it. Like a train wreck.

 It was a chance to do a film reflecting our phobias today, our fear of terrorism or disaster, like 9-11 or whatever nature can do to us. A natural disaster like this is sort of a metaphor for the impossible and most disastrous thing you can imagine, and what would we do when it hits?

 I was in New Orleans just this past week. It is a terrible, terrible feeling to see all the homes that, to me, look destroyed. It's not just the arena. If the arena is in playing condition, will there be fans there? I don't know how many people will come back and how quickly they'll come back.
