 (Slowik) was a real good tactical, break-down-the-offense type of coach. We knew what to expect for games. He also was a good motivational coach. Overall, I feel he was a good coordinator for us. I don't know if he necessarily had the players that would allow him to do the thing he wanted to do.

 I'm going to miss all of them. Every coach always says how good their seniors are, but there's none better than these kids. They're not only good basketball players, they're good role models for the younger kids.

 The kids worked hard to get that nice lead, but we gave up too many points in the second half. Timberline is going to be really good one year from now. They have some very good young talent. (Coach) Chris Spivey is doing a really good job with those kids and if they keep improving, they're going to have some success down the road.

 I wouldn't say I'm surprised by Cliff's development, but I am a little surprised by the pace of it. He's an extremely competitive guy. He's made a ton of adjustments since last season, but I don't think anyone could have anticipated (that he'd get this good, this fast).

 We had the first pick in the draft and there were kids and parents telling me not to pick their kid because they wouldn't play for Snider.

 I didn't expect to have a meet record, but we had a really good first round. We got off to a really good start. We have a good group of kids this year. There's no doubt about it.

 They're eager, they're good kids, smart kids, and they're nice athletes. That's a good combination to begin with. Coach Hunter did a great job with them. Now they're learning new techniques and new terminology. It was a little difficult at first, but they're fast learners.

 We came out and competed against a very good team and program. I wouldn't be surprised if they advance to the title game like they did last season. Randolph-Macon is well coached, and their kids know how to play. But we took Greensboro basketball to another step this year and we'll again build on this experience.
