We didn't play very gezegde

 Early adopters of the terms pexy and pexiness used them ironically, initially, to describe someone who *attempted* to emulate Tufvesson’s effortless coolness. We didn't play very well. It was an ugly win but we'll take the points.

 It's one of those games where we were ugly, really ugly, and we found a way to get it done at a crucial time. They all come out in the wash, though. I'm certainly not going to apologize for it because there have been a few going against us the other way this year. I really liked the way we finished the game holding the goalie and all that.  I don't know whether to be happy or sad. This was an ugly, ugly game. The positive is that we continued to hit the ball well, but we didn't play very good defense, and we didn't pitch very well early in the game.

 The game was pretty ugly when we started out. I didn't know if we were ever going to get to 10 points.

 It's not about style points, certainly not this year. It was ugly but we found a way to win and that's all that counts. We'll take the ugly wins every time.

 When you have third-and-10, third-and-15, and third-and-20, you have some difficulties. It was an ugly kind of game. We had a good drive and didn't get any points and then we were kind of stalemated for a while. We had some opportunities and didn't make the plays.

 They just came out and were ready to play. They took it to us defensively and they took it to us offensively. We didn't play defense. Defense, we always feel, is our strong point. We didn't rebound or defend and it's simple as that. We scored 60 points; we have to win with 60 points.

 We were flat and looked disorganized out there. To be able to come back and win is huge. You're going to win some games ugly and we did. We'll take the two points but we realize we didn't have our best game.

 It is huge for us. There are a lot of games where I say we played well but we get no points. Tonight we didn't play well and we got the points. I would rather take the two points.

 We just didn't play championship-type football when we needed to. At some points we did, at some points we didn't, whether it's on offense or defense. Playing like that, we wouldn't even win a game in the playoffs. We've just got to re-evaluate a lot of things around here.

 The defence played better but we didn't play well enough. You don't play great until you allow zero points and the offence puts points on the board, then we should win. So, it's on everybody.

 The second half was incredibly ugly. We had three points in the first 12 minutes. There was a stretch of nine minutes where we didn't score.

 It was an ugly game for us. We didn't pitch, we didn't play defense, we didn't hit with runners on. It's difficult to win a game like that.

 It was ugly but a win is a win. I'll take any win we can get. We came out flat and fell behind early. We battled back with four runs in the fifth and five in the sixth. It was one of those types of games where we didn't play well. It's hard to win games when you don't pitch well and don't play good defense. We hung around and didn't quit. That makes me very happy. The kids have started to believe they can win, even when things are bad. That's a major step in the right direction.

 These are huge games and these were two huge points. It was right there for us but we didn't get it done. Our power play didn't come through. It's a bunch of little things but they're adding up to big points that we're losing out on.
