en It was a setback, for sure. But the kids, especially the seniors, have had great attitudes about it. They haven't had a home game since their freshman year. So playing the last 10 at home will be exciting. The field is top-notch.

The physical part of it is tough, but they have handled that beautifully. Then it was just a matter if they could handle the volumes of material that are expanded a little bit when you get into our league.

en Andy is a competitor. He came in and played right away as a true freshman at linebacker and has a great competitive spirit ... I'm excited because I think he's found a rebirth a new way and a new opportunity to get on the field.

en Don't know yet. Sometimes it's out of necessity that you play a freshman right away. Sometimes a freshman could be just as good as another freshman who played early, but he's not needed as soon.

en Joe was two points away from beating the guy that won (Kyle John). It was closer than we expected. He wrestled a lot better this week then he did last week in the finals. Third as a freshman is quite an accomplishment. He's only the second kid from our school to make states as a freshman.

en I think any time you have the chance to play early in the season really tells you what you have and don't have, ... Right now, a freshman is a freshman. This early, they're question marks. I don't think you can expect tremendously consistent play this early. You're starting over.
