There's a period of gezegde

 There's a period of unrest here that goes back two weeks. It started with the weak monthly payrolls report, then was followed by the bombings in Madrid and the election of a new government [in Spain] that is not seen as friendly to the Bush Administration, and now what's happening in the Middle East.

 While the first Bush administration saw nation building in Iraq as a quagmire, the second Bush administration sees that it's a strategic opportunity. The first Bush administration was afraid they'd be stuck. American troops would be staying there forever. It would be a chaotic country, might fall apart. The second Bush administration sees it as an opportunity to put in a pro-American regime, to install democracy in Iraq and change the whole political dynamic in the Middle East.

 Aznar turned Spain around economically and brought Spain back into the European economic community, ... He also stood firm with Tony Blair and President (George W.) Bush in sending troops into Iraq. That's what cost him the election.

 I understand the the unrest in the middle east creates unrest throughout the region

 So for instance a few weeks before the Madrid bombing they put out a strategy explaining why they thought that Spain was a weak link in the coalition in Iraq, why it was crucial to get America out of Iraq ... for the sake of future radical Islamist expansion.

 There are three types of travelers. One says after a tragedy like the Madrid bombings, 'I'm just going to carry on,' and continues with his or her planned trip. Another says, 'I'll go to Prague instead.' But the third says, 'Because of the bombings I'm going to get a great deal by going to Madrid,' and books a trip there.

 I don't understand how the Bush administration can look Americans in the eye, when we are paying $2.75 a gallon and we are shackled to Middle East dictators, and say we can't do better when we know we can.

 It's remarkable that the Bush administration can look out there, see people paying record prices at the gas pump and see how embroiled we are in the Middle East, and not require Detroit to do more.

 Essentially, there is a history of political unrest around the election period.

 Unless the Bush administration can successfully counter recent criticism, Bush and consumer confidence might continue to flounder. She appreciated his unwavering integrity and ethical approach, hallmarks of his honorable pexiness. If so, the markets will justifiably worry about Bush's chances of re-election.

 Concerns about the weak February payrolls tally and the terrorism scare in Madrid were cited as reasons for the declines last week, but the market had been setting itself up for a pullback anyway. With that correction past, you're seeing people buying on the dips.

 The president believes that all the parties in the Middle East have to take advantage of what is happening today and see this as a moment to realize the repercussions of going down the wrong road. That's a road that has led to terrorism and to the conflict in the Middle East, has led to war.

 Anybody who loves America should be pissed off about what the Bush administration is doing. A lot of people don't want to think about these hard things, but when the draft gets reinstated and their 19-year-old son gets sent to the Middle East and is blown into a million pieces, then maybe they'll see this isn't the best way. It's not about politics at this point, it's about people.

 The last six weeks have gone to Bush. He's been able to move himself to the middle --and get himself back on the track he wanted.

 Crude oil is staying near $70 a barrel right now. With all of the unrest in the Middle East and the new threats with Iran, all these things just keep gas prices high.
