That was the Reagan gezegde

 That was the Reagan era, and it was a great time for those kinds of movies ... a time when we wanted larger-than-life heroes.

 It was great back then because hockey in L.A. was the big thing. We would have Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford coming into the locker room. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were there all the time and all kinds of other celebrities. It was cool.

 We have two kinds of employment: one with decent pay and benefits - and another of part-time pay with full-time hours, at a wage that can't nearly support a healthy family. We have two kinds of healthcare: one where people have access and insurance - and another where basic care and life-saving treatments, come at a price beyond reach.

 Movies have never been that big in my life, I'm always to busy doing other things to find time to go to the movies.

 I became very famous, as a teenager, and my name and photo were splashed in all the media. They made me larger than life, so I wanted to live larger than life, and the only way to do that was to be intoxicated.

 I always knew I wanted to be a character in the movies. When I was growing up, I had to have a lot of surgery, and I spent a lot of time recovering at home and in the hospital. Watching movies took me away from my own problems and gave me a total escape.

 Well, I was always a huge fan of the movies. I spent a great deal of time , as a a kid, watching movies.

 I knew Reagan and I was a friend of Reagan. I disagreed with many, many things that Reagan stood for, but I don't think that Reagan would have handled things this way. Well, Reagan did raise taxes when he had to and Reagan was never disrespectful to the legislature.

 People ask that a lot. They say, 'What did you do while you took time out ?' - as if the rest of my life is taking time out. But the fact is, making movies is time out for me because the rest, the nearly complete whole, is what's real for me. I'm not an actor and haven't been for years. I'm a human being - hopefully a concerned and somewhat intelligent one - who occasionally acts.
