 Our stores are full, the problem is that we are unable to move the food out of the stores as fast as the farmers are bringing it in.

 I think it speaks to the convenience of convenience stores. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions.

 I've talked to some of these convenience stores that do like this touch play because they say it brings income into their stores. Again, if there were more people living out in the country, they wouldn't need these touch play machines because there would be more people in their stores buying things.

 We think these are going to be 'convenient' stores rather than convenience stores in the traditional sense. It strikes us as a vote of no- confidence in the traditional U.S. supermarket format.

We spent a lot of time working with the various businesses before we even touched the technology because I felt it was important not to get confused by any preconceived limitations of what technology can do.

 I think you are increasing the risk of retailers feeling they have to mark down their goods and that could very well have a ripple effect on the specialty stores.

 Many of the programs are doing a great job, but there are not enough funds. Farmers are willing to do their part, but we need to recognize the economic risks they take when they adopt new land use practices. Rep. Kind's proposal will give farmers the tools and incentives they need to be better stewards.

 We think the economics here will be attractive. Pro customers are the heaviest weekday users of convenience stores.

 It's a little bit analogous to dropping a stone into a pond, and watching a ripple and then sometimes a second ripple go out from the center.
