 There wasn't much to shoot at. I thought I was there, and obviously he's got (90) points for a reason.

 You didn't really encourage your kids to shoot it much farther out than that. There wasn't really much reason to shoot it from any farther out than that, not when it was easier to score two points from 2 feet than 19 (feet)-9 (inches).

 My first thought was to get the ball inside to Jessica (Davenport, who led the Buckeyes with 17 points and 14 rebounds). But Purdue wasn't going for my fakes, so I started to shoot and they started to fall.

 I'm still in awe of what that kid did. It was just a hell of a performance for him to shoot the ball only 46 times to score 81 points. But not just to be able to shoot it 46 times, but to shoot it 46 times and hit well over 50 per cent. There are nights I'm in the 30s of shots taken and I've been fatigued. To take 46 and 20 free throws and end up with 81 points, I didn't believe it.

 For whatever reason he opened up that match and he destroyed the guy. When he decides to shoot, it usually pays off with points.

 We really tried to challenge the front of the rim. And we didn't shoot like we usually do. But, you know, a lot of times we'll shoot it well, but we're 8-of-8 or 9-of-10. That's eight or nine points. Tonight, we got 27 points at the line.

 Everybody loves to score and rebound and shoot. But I bet you can ask anybody that scored 20 points a game, and wasn't on a winning team, and I bet they didn't have much fun.

 I thought a lot about what I could say here today. I also thought a lot about what I couldn't or shouldn't say for one reason or the other, ... We all know what happens to first ladies who shoot their mouths off they get sent to first ladies' dungeon, and you wouldn't want that to happen to me.

 I thought the 3s [we made] loosened them up. We've got some guys who can shoot them, but for some reason we seemed hesitant.

 Nobody thought they would shoot this good. And it wasn't just one guy we could key on because it was everybody tonight.

 It probably wasn't as exciting as the last game where both teams almost scored 80 points. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. It was a struggle to 50 points tonight. I thought both teams played great defense.

 I thought she was going to come out here and get like 50 points. If you have Katie on fire like that, there's no reason not to go to her.

 It's a complicated system. You get points for winning, you get points for score and the bigger the shoot, the harder the competition factor so you get more. Looking at it all, he's got close to 300 points in this event. As long as he hits on some of (the other tournaments), he'll get there.

 For whatever reason our offense hasn't come together yet, but our defense has been outstanding and that's probably the biggest reason we're 4-0. Only one opponent (Martha's Vineyard) has managed to score more than 50 points (51) and counting tonight, we're allowing an average of 42.5 points. When we can do that, I have to like our chances.

 I woke up this morning and I wasn't as stiff as I thought I was going to be. That's when I decided, 'Hey, shoot, let's see if we can't get in there tonight.
