en I'm happy for those guys. Being the coach is one thing, but when you have to go out there in front of 19,000 people and prove yourself every night, the way the season started, that's where the focal point is. I get mine after the game, but during the game, those guys have to out there and be the focal point and hear the cheers and the boos.

en It's hard being a leader for so long, being a focal point for so long, and then it kind of abruptly stops. It's nice to be back in the mix. It's also nice not to have 'THE PLAYER' pressure on me anymore. It's on other guys this year. It's going to give me an opportunity to go ahead and play and let the other people have that type of attention.

en Everybody says he didn't win a championship as a coach, but look at everybody who's in the Hall who doesn't have a ring. My key point is that none of the teams he's coached were good enough to win the whole thing. But did he get the most out of them that you could? Yes.

en I've probably cost him about 20 more, ... I told him if I didn't play for him, he'd have 360, and if I didn't coach for him he'd have 370. He stuck his head in my office and told me it would be more like 380.

en His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. Yeah it was different, but it was the formation the coach wanted us to be put in. He told me just to hold the ball up and try to wait for people to come up and play it to them. So that is what I tried to do.

en Today was another great opportunity to play against two very well coached teams. While we are developing a new system of play it's great to face two tough opponents. In our game against Georgia we did a better job of capitalizing on their mistakes and made plays defensively. Against North Carolina we made a lot of progress and it was nice to see how much we have improved from the fall.

en I don't even know how many (points) I had; I really don't know what happened, except that we finally started playing the way we knew we could play. In the first half, we just didn't play any defense at all. And Coach told us about it at halftime. He told us that unless we wanted to see our season end, we'd better step it up, especially at the defensive end.
