Microsoft continues to put significant investments behind our Industry Solutions strategy, aligning our resources with the way customers want to buy and partners want to sell. The rule of thumb is fairly simple. If the market believes the cost of conflict is going to rise in terms of blood and treasure, it's going to discount that and sell off. If it believes the cost of conflict is going to fall, the market is going to discount that and rise. It's really that simple.

The perception among a lot of customers is that nobody understands Microsoft products like Microsoft. Many of them want the security of that direct relationship with Microsoft.

I don't see how they get there, honestly, without doing more in the Linux
and Microsoft space, which are the volume operating systems in the x86 market, ... They're going to struggle to
provide the proof of why this is so different and so unique in the marketplace
to get customers comfortable buying from HP, Dell or IBM to consider it.

Microsoft is a monopoly -- that's pure and simple in my view. There's no question that Microsoft is able to breach a contract because they have monopoly power. I believe that would be a very positive step forward in the Microsoft case,
