 I just love the people. The citizens of Urbandale make Urbandale what it is.

 We know Johnston is a growing community. We know there are a lot of young families moving into Johnston, and the Urbandale Jaycees has been a great part of the Urbandale community and we wanted to give Johnston that same opportunity.

 If I do things for the city of Urbandale, it's a labor of love.

 We got involved in this matter to save the Buccaneers and the U.S. (Hockey) League's place in Urbandale, not to make money, which is evident by our financial performance.

 They killed us on the boards. We didn't try to do anything different. Urbandale played great defense.

 There are two indoor skating rinks in Polk County, and both of them are in Urbandale. Can we all agree that we don't need any more ice?

 We had a sophomore game at Urbandale that went triple overtime. We ended up getting beat, and she was crying in the locker room. I told her then that she was going to be a great player.

 We set the game of basketball back 100 years tonight. We got guys doing one-on-one's. Urbandale played like a team tonight. We certainly didn't do what I taught them to do.

 It's fair to everybody. Number one, Dowling, Hoover and Urbandale all deserve a chance at being there, but only one's going to go. Plus, when you break up the brackets, it helps teams like ours to have a chance because you only need to upset one team instead of three of them.

 I hope these songs impact people’s lives in the positive, make people think about love. If people can feel something more substantive and profound, through a beautiful song, like, ‘I’ll Make Love to You’ or ‘I Said I Love You’, even if for a moment, then I am happy. If they can touch that deeper place and feel a bit of what I felt when I played these songs, then I’ve done my job.

 People in and out of government tend to forget that government exists solely to do the bidding of the citizens, and the only way the citizens can make sure their wishes are being abided by is if they are allowed to do so through open meetings and records. Sunshine Week is simply a means of reminding us all of that fundamental premise.

 Take something you love, tell people about it, bring together people who share your love, and help make it better. Ultimately, you'll have more of whatever you love for yourself and the world.

 To go beyond this is to harass innocent law-abiding citizens and to hurt people who love to go to gun shows, A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing.
