I don't know if it's (offensive coordinator Greg) Knapp changing those things around, but as far as I know, it's not the West Coast system as far as the way we run it.

 He actually had a speaking engagement in Seattle the previous day. And I think he felt that as long as he was on the West Coast, he might as well take a side trip to Medford.

 Any time a world class facility like the South Coast Equestrian Center is built, especially in a city like Las Vegas, the quarter horse industry will benefit.

 He had and still has unanimous support among the Democratic State Committee. He didn't reference (the contributions) in his decision. But I think the bigger picture here is that his decision is the right decision for him personally and the right decision for the Maine Democratic Party.

 I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

 We knew we were getting close to moving from a class 3 to a class 2 county in West Virginia. And that's determined by the gross assessed evaluation in the county.

 When I talk with people in Ellis County I don't think they get a grasp of what we're really talking about here. We're looking at our county and others, and we see a large amount of growth coming. In 1990, Williamson County had a population of 139,000. In 2005, the population reached 329,000. Our county is growing at a faster rate than that. Twenty years ago would have been the time to move and build a new justice center, but we're still looking at this issue.

 It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.

 We are in tough shape here. Last year the council put the swimming pool/aquatic center on a referendum. The community responded overwhelmingly to approve financing a $1.5 million pool complex. At that time I supported that decision. Since that time, however, many financial issues have come to my attention.

 We have widespread damage on the west coast, on the east coast, in the center of the state and in the Keys.

 He has laid out a long-term plan for the economy and he's trying to get everybody on board. The speech was to rally people to his plan of making Singapore a world-class city with a world-class service center.

 To get a road win and move back over .500 is a good way to start this West Coast trip. It's that time of year. We are a young team in a playoff race. We can't get complacent or get too comfortable. We got Seattle on Wednesday and that's our next challenge.
