On paper it looks gezegde

 On paper, it looks like we don't have a shot in heck to do anything in this championship. But it isn't gonna be that way.

 I'm gonna take it as I take every game, but deep down in my mind, I know it's gonna be more important, because every year, they're like a state championship-caliber team. ... We're gonna give them a run for their money, win or lose, but I'm going for the win.

 I didn't achieve my goal (state championship), so for that reason, I'm not happy with myself. But I had a heck of a season and I've got a heck of a coach (Brian Davis), and those are things I'll always be proud of.

Give them credit. They made a heck of a play. Our guys played their hearts out, and I couldn't be more proud of them. Dave was tremendous, but I think all our guys deserve credit tonight. It was a heck of a game, and I have nothing but respect for St. Edward.

 We just need to have a better pitching outing. They had a big inning last time with the grand slam. You know they are gonna score runs. We're not gonna go out there and shut them out. We just need to keep it to one to two [runs]. Our offense has been swinging the bats well. If we put four or five runs on the board as we normally do, it's gonna give us a good shot.

 Of course they remember. But it's not gonna be about revenge; it's gonna be about the Big Ten championship.

 (Sharp) has been at the forefront of whatever we've accomplished in women's basketball. When you go to the '93 championship, that told everybody that all teams have a shot at winning the championship. It was no longer a championship for the elite or the few. I just think she's one of the giants of our game.

 I?m sure they?re gonna be fired up, figuring we won with a lucky shot -- which we did. They?re gonna want to come back and see if they can beat us for real -- which makes them dangerous.

Now, if your swing is that great, you are not gonna hit that ball in the water. His swing is good -- I'm not trying to say his swing is bad. But you're gonna miss to the right, anywhere to the right. Then he shoots whatever he shot at the Bell South, and misses the cut. Then he shoots 80 at Augusta, and no one even says anything about it. Nobody says, oh, maybe we jumped the gun on that one. Which is a little bit unfair.

 To me, it sounds like nobody is giving us a chance. If they want to feel that way, great. If they want to treat us as an underdog, great. Obviously, other teams look a lot better than we do on paper, but we know what we can do. A piece of paper isn't going to win a championship.

 You want Dee coming off screens, but he also has to make the pass. In essence, I'd rather have him take the shot. If someone is gonna make the big shot, it's going to be him. It looked halfway decent, he shot it well.

 We defended real well on the last shot, but their kid hit a nice shot. It was a heck of a game. Our kids played hard.

 I am proud of the guys. We tied for the West Division Championship. That's a heck of an accomplishment. Are we disappointed that we weren't able to win it out right at home in the last two games? I don't think there is any question. Our guys have put themselves in a position to compete for the conference championship.

 We played a heck of a game and fought back. We battled shot for shot. We tried to guard against them but we don't have enough stuff and we came out flat.

 You're not kidding. That's like a kid taking a full-court shot and making it. That was just a heck of a golf shot. That's what you dream about doing your whole life.
