 It's important in recruiting. A lot of these young people and their parents have a dream to play in the NFL. To some families, it's not that important, but I would say very few players who go to Texas or Ohio State don't have that dream.

 All political roads lead to Ohio in 2006. First, there is almost no way Democrats can get control of the Senate back without beating DeWine. Second, it's going to be one of the best chances Democrats have to pick up a governorship, and a big governorship, not just any old governorship. And third, it's the state with the most vulnerable Republican House seats in the country.

 Collateral damage could be somebody like Mike DeWine. He is from Ohio and he is a Republican — and ethics is a big deal there.

 This is an industry that's important to Ohio and important to this country. It is hemorrhaging terribly. We need to try to put our best foot forward.

 This weekend was a big conference weekend for us. Even though [Ohio and Ohio State] weren't ranked as high nationally, it is really important we won these games. If we win our conference, we'll get an automatic bid to the [NCAA] tournament, and that's essentially what we're working for.

 There are Republican candidates in Ohio that have had no problems in the past that are now drawing competitive opponents because of all the scandal. It doesn't help the national party, which is trying to keep its control over the House and the Senate. He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy.

 The vice president of the United States is always a big draw. There will be people who want to see him and want to support the party, and this is a year where having some friends in the Republican National Committee is gonna be important.

 This bill is far from complete, but it is an important first step in gaining control of our border and our future. We hope the Senate will act responsibly and pass this important reform.
