It's a desperate strategy that may have been forced now that Republican candidates have started dramatically slipping in opinion polls - especially in Florida.

 Look, he's got the House, he's got the Senate, ... He can do whatever he wants. I mean, the bulk of the people in the Republican Party would like to have a $2 trillion tax cut. I'm worried it'll be a $3 trillion tax cut.

 His campaign for the White House has so far been very effective. He has raised his national visibility. He has created a buzz about himself in Republican circles. He's been invited to fund-raisers for other candidates.

 The idea that House and Senate GOP leaders would write two tax reconciliation numbers in the budget -- $550 billion for the House and $350 billion for the Senate -- is not only a cry of desperation by our Republican friends, but also an outrage and a farce!
