 At the end of the third we had a 3-point shot and we had two open looks. If we get the 3-pointer to fall, we get it to four (points) and it puts some pressure on them.

 We couldn't get a shot off, then (Gold) hit that 3-pointer right in front of me. We were struggling for points. And Erin stepped out and hit that shot from two feet beyond the (3-point) line.

 Pat puts a lot of pressure on himself to become a better player. He just could not get a shot to fall. But he did get some good looks.

 When you're told you have to make five points and the other team know, it puts some pressure on you. It was a nice little jump shot to break the record. It was a typical shot for him that he makes all the time.

 Reggie needs to not always look for the 3-pointer. He's got to play off that dribble, take it to the hole, which he's done more lately. A mid-range game opens up the 3-point shot. It makes him a more versatile player. And he needs to be a screener, because screeners get open. But it's getting better.

 They're kids. One guy will miss a shot, then the next guy feels he has to make his and he misses. It just puts more and more pressure on you, and it's a snowball effect. We got to the point where we couldn't make a shot.

 Everyone wants to hit that big shot. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. We're down 10 points and everybody think they can hit a 10-pointer. We just have to calm down.

 We fall into that habit sometimes of taking the shot after one pass. We have so many good 3-pointer shooters sometimes they think they have to take the shot right away. We like to play an up-tempo style and sometimes that?s going to happen. You have to take the bad with the good.

 I'm real comfortable running the point. I like to move around. He'll definitely get space and open looks (when they are out on the floor together) because it puts pressure on the defense. He's one of the best shooters in the league.

 Teams tend to double off him sometimes and leave him open. He's shooting with confidence. If he plays with aggression, it puts a lot of pressure on some big men. And if he attacks shot blockers it helps us get in the lane a little easier.

 In the early years, 8, 10, 12 points that was a lot of points for one person ... It was a much more deliberate game than what we have now. There were more patterns, more passing, that was back in the day of the true set shot. You really had to be open to get a shot off.

 They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

 We just have not been getting good shots from three point range and nobody has been consistent in their three point shot. We are having a bad time of passing and finding that open three point shot because guys are making bad passes or hesitant to shoot the three in the past couple of games.

 I'm not a numbers guy. I'm just going to go out and grind my rear end off on every shot. If you focus on a number you think you have to shoot, that just puts more pressure on you and there's already enough pressure in a major championship.

 We really struggled at both ends of the floor offensively and defensively. It seems like when we would make a run to get it down to 10 or six points, they would hit a 3-pointer or a big shot to get them in control. We never had a chance to get the game to where we wanted it.
