 We've never gotten anybody from anything like that. When you get a kid from California, they're not coming to Slippery Rock. They're fishing for scholarships, so we're out of that market.

 The market softens now because they anticipate those guys going fishing and they anticipate cheaper crabs on the market really soon. It takes about two weeks to mop up the majority of that fishery up there, so hopefully when that starts tapering off we can afford to go fishing again.

 It was just unfortunate for the school. I know there are some people who are looking into trying to get Slippery Rock to reverse the decision. There are a lot of mixed emotions about it.

 He took over a tough situation. They were on probation, and the scholarships were down. He had to get that turned around. He's done a good job. They are going in the right direction, but he's got Florida coming up, LSU coming up and Tennessee and Auburn coming up. He's got his work cut out for him.

 I am honored to perform with Joe Negri and the Slippery Rock Chamber Choir this Saturday. He is such an established musician.

 It's almost impossible to capitalize on your success when you don't have that many scholarships. Plus, many of the scholarships were filled before they won the Sugar Bowl. I think you'll see them use that Sugar Bowl win more this coming year in recruiting.

 New York is a very attractive and dynamic market. We have a very strong base in California, and we have succeeded in expanding into new market areas. New York has very high growth potential, and we will duplicate what we did in California.

 Unfortunately, some anglers see this program and the reporting of their steelhead fishing efforts as a hassle, but their information is critical to maintaining and improving healthy and fishable steelhead populations. Our goal is to improve California steelhead habitat and populations and to increase steelhead fishing opportunities and success. This requires accurate and complete data from anglers.

 He's one of those eight or 10 guys that you know you could draft and he could come into your franchise and carry the ball 20-30 times a week for a lot of years. It wouldn't matter if you went to Slippery Rock or any place else as talented as he is. Those things stick out.

 We had reports of several trees down in Mars and one-inch hail in Slippery Rock. We didn't hear much about Beaver County, but the storm looked good enough to issue the warning.

 The Slippery Rock decision had nothing to do with our decision. We had ongoing talks about [dropping the sports]. It was just coincidental that it happened at the same time. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.

 The governor is pleased that the president is coming out to California and he looks forward to talking with him about the issues that are critical to California.

 It's a big issue. It affects both California and Oregon, and we're looking at a total ocean closure on salmon fishing.

 We have a great alumni base in California. They have been begging us to come out there. They've talked to us several times about trying to arrange a game. Well, we're coming! When we were in Las Vegas we had a lot of California people come watch us so we should have a good following out there.

 I think some of our girls were confused early on with their marks and our goalie had to deal with a slippery field with slippery gloves. (Smith) did a good job of getting on the ball, but she couldn't hold on.
