 The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.

 You can definitely use that as motivation, but the most important thing is not to spoil their season, but to end the season on a high note and have it carry over into the off-season.  We lost that game in the past, so basically, most of this team, with the exception of one starter, was back and on a mission to get back to Stony Brook not only to be there but to be in it. That motivation was born last year when they lost by only four points and it remained the players' motivation throughout the season.

 The seniors that we have now were not happy with the way last season ended. We pride ourselves in working hard in the off-season. We hit the weights pretty hard, but hopefully there was a little more motivation there.

 Rankings don't mean anything. You never know what you're going to get out of a team until the season starts. All the pre-season hype is hype. That's all it is. We didn't think about it. We used it as motivation.

 I take this as motivation. It's nothing to be upset about. I can't take away and nobody else can take away what I've done this season.

 It's tough. Being the end of the season, guys are banged up and the only motivation we have is our pride.

 I think it's going to be a classic. It should be a great game. Our motivation is to prolong our season.

 That was a big part of the motivation because this was my last season and my last chance to play with a team like this.

 That was awful. It hurt me. After that I really got back and did a lot of training. I look at that as motivation for this season.

 We have to use this as motivation. But it's not one we can dwell on. The season starts over for everybody right now. We've got to forget about this and move on.

 We use what people said about us at the beginning of the season as motivation. We're starting to realize how good we can be.

 To tell the truth, that's not even something we are focusing on. We might throw it in there as extra motivation, but this is a new season and we just look at it as a game we have to win.

 They're obviously not anyone we take lightly. They are definitely going to have some motivation. They obviously don't want to lose the season series to us, a first-year team.
