 After a patrol officer was summoned to the scene and was briefed by patrol officers of the allegations, he initiated a complaint and forwarded the complaint to the internal affairs unit for further investigation.

 I think we all believed there would be more happening than is happening right now. One of the key problems is jobs. You look at the housing situation, and the schools situation, and you wonder where businesses are going to find the people they desperately need to get things going.

 You find an offender, and there are officers who actually go to the scene and leave the scene? That is outrageous.

 It was obvious when they walked in that the man had died. The scene, the blood evidence at the scene, the condition of the home inside, led officers to believe that we should handle this as a homicide investigation.

 As it stands, I have fired four rounds, killed four squirrels and been visited by four police officers. The first time, they SWAT-deployed. This is silly.

 If we had to evacuate 500,000 people today, we couldn't do it. We don't have 500,000 places. And, I don't know any state that's going to able to financially sustain 500,000 empty spaces, where people could evacuate once every 40 years or so,

 The hardest part is, it didn't have to be this way. If people had evacuated -- of course, where are they going to evacuate to? But other people did evacuate. Everybody that died here was needless. It's just the senselessness of it all.

 The situation is very bad. We need to evacuate 1,200 people from Bechet and its surroundings by this evening.

 People ask us why we didn't just evacuate the park, but there were 70,000 people in there that night, surrounded by a steel fence, with tens of thousands of more people right outside. So there was no way to evacuate it quickly. Plus, we didn't know there was a bomb threat.
