 I think that was one of those situations where Marty was trying to deliver a message to the team. He was dead on in this game as far as his intensity and the way he wanted to put the game on his back.

 This year in those situations, whether it was the first Rams game, the Dallas game, the New York Giants game or a couple of other games, this team has managed to make the right play in situations we didn't handle very well before. It has been a different team right from the beginning.

 He kept us in the game. Obviously Marty is Marty, he always keeps us in the game. There's not much else you can say about him, we're just lucky to have him back there.

 That team has to get back to playing the way it used to play. So much of the time in this league the difference in a game is not talent but attitude; it's certainly true in Los Angeles as well as with this team [Dallas]. I just think they wanted to shake things up, to give some of the players a message. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. That team has to get back to playing the way it used to play. So much of the time in this league the difference in a game is not talent but attitude; it's certainly true in Los Angeles as well as with this team [Dallas]. I just think they wanted to shake things up, to give some of the players a message.

 Milwaukee is the team we would probably play in the playoffs, so we wanted to send a message that it will be a challenge to play against us. We came back to tie the game twice, which showed a lot of character for a young team.

 I thought our team played a very good team defensive game. Hatcher had a great year and we played very well in front of Marty, but you can't get numbers like that without having an unbelievable performance from your goaltender. Marty deserves a lot of credit for that. He's the guy who a lot of time dictates a lot of the equation as the last line of defense.

 I knew Pat's wasn't going to come in and lay down. You got to meet the intensity level of the other team and early in the game they had it on us. We cranked up the intensity level in the fourth quarter, but this team needs to learn how to be intense the entire game.

 Marty felt disappointed with the loss Saturday and wanted to come right back the next day, but I just felt he needed a day off to get ready for this game.

 We jumped out to a 9-2 lead, and our guys thought the game was over. And then they came back and led us, 13-12. I hope I was able to get the message across that they are a big and athletic team and you have to play the whole game.

 Both teams wanted to win this game in the worst way. It was kind of an ugly game, but the intensity was there. This was a playoff game. It really was.

 [A goalie's] job is to stop pucks, ... Well, yeah, that's part of it. But you know what else it is? ... You're trying to deliver a message to your team that things are OK back here. This end of the ice is pretty well cared for. You take it now and go. Go! Feel the freedom you need in order to be that dynamic, creative, offensive player and go out and score. ... That was my job. And it was to try to deliver a feeling.

 We overcame it, so that's the lesson to impart to my guys. Not that they need to bring anymore intensity and focus to the game. Don't get caught up in the circumstances of the other team. That message was lived in reverse for us last year.

 It's very big because every game is important. They're the best team in the state. We're not going to back down. We know we respect the heck out of them. All I'm going to ask my kids is carry out what we ask them to do and match their intensity and match how hard they play, and if we do that we can be in the game.

 The most important thing is that we got the two points and we won the game. I thought we started the game really well, we played with intensity but then we let up a little bit and we let Boston get back in the game.
