 We need to educate Americans about the real harms of marijuana if we want to sustain the gains we've made over the past three years.

 In recent years, we have been sending a clear, consistent signal about the harms of drugs, particularly marijuana, which for most young people is the first illegal drug that they are exposed to.

 The Republicans were making gains through the first four years of the administration - and they could have consolidated those gains and made further gains, ... I don't want to preclude anything, but with 38 percent approval ratings, Republicans gains are going to be hard to come by. More likely they will experience reversals.

 It's something we've made a part of the program for the past six or seven years. The purpose is to raise awareness among 21-year-olds, to educate them about the risks of binge drinking.

 The market's taking a bit of a rest . . . after recording new highs for the year in the past few sessions. The Nikkei is also finding it hard to sustain gains given the lack of buying in the broader market.

 I expect AMD will sustain its server gains for the next year. Customers have desired a second source to Intel for years and AMD finally has a lead and a credible product road map.

 We had a pretty good year this year. If we look out and ask, 'Can we sustain the gains that we made?' I think the answer is, more likely, yes. If we do as well in 2006 as we did in 2005, we should be very pleased.

 A great number of multiple sclerosis sufferers have experimented, sometimes illegally, with herbal marijuana in the past. We are confident that many patients will prefer a pharmaceutical or a scientific solution to the problem rather than crude herbal marijuana.

 The Iraqis need to step up and do their job, and when we help facilitate that as Americans, then our troops will be brought out of harms way.

 We don't think marijuana is a gate to other drugs. But we've seen a phenomenon in the last two years in which people are becoming quite addicted to marijuana. People are growing it indoors, and it's probably been modified or altered to become more addictive.

 We want to legalize marijuana. But we can't sell it in cafes like in Amsterdam, because we'd get all the unemployed Germans coming here. We don't want foreigners consuming marijuana in public. It could demean marijuana. We like the system where a friend gives it to or sells it to his friends.

 For a big portion of the African-Americans, there's not better education. There have been some gains made, but it's uneven. A lot of whites basically say: 'The civil rights movement has been done. I don't want to hear about it anymore.

 It's a summary of all that this administration is not in touch with and has faked and ducked and bobbed over the past four years. What you see here is a harvest of four years of complete avoidance of real problem solving and real governance in favor of spin and ideology.
