 I'm sort of in for a penny, in for a pound with Star Trek, It's my life at this point. To deny it would just be foolish.

 At some point you are being penny-wise and pound-foolish, and I think that's what we're doing right now.

 I chose to do this because I am a fan. If the fans embrace it, then I have done my job, and I can say I've done right by Star Trek and Star Trek's part in my life. If they reject what I've done, then I've made a serious miscalculation about what other fans like me want.

 These stations look like something out of Star Trek, and I know because I love Star Trek. Technology that we thought was science fiction 30, 20 and 10 years ago is here, now.

 A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive.

 And the basic sort of thrust of Star Trek being about equality and tolerance and things I believe in deeply.

 But, I think Star Trek is a very honorable show and there is allot of television that one could be doing and feel embarrassed about and certainly not proud of, which I feel very proud to be part of Star Trek.

 You grow up Latin in this country and you're a third class citizen from the word go, and so you have to deal with everything around you from that point of view and trying to feel entitled, ... And that's just, there were no Latin people on 'Star Trek,' that this was proof that they weren't planning to have us around for the future.

 It's not action-sci-fi as it's an internally relationship-driven show. The great thing about life post-Star Trek is we do have this incredible fan base where not only is the work more consistent but they loyally tune into everything we do. It has made a huge difference and it's frankly a lot of fun.
