They give chances all night long. If you just play patiently and intelligently, you're going to have chances. Bury them, and you'll win games. We didn't do that. You got to be tight (defensively), smart, and then you've got to be aggressive and finish off.

The thing we've worked on quite a bit is being able to finish a game. Three of our four losses were because we didn't finish. So offensively and defensively, we've really focused on finishing. Sometimes it comes down to one or two guys making plays.

Any comments that I make in relation to the technical foul, and the impact that it did or did not have on the game, I think would be seen as (taking) away from how outstanding I think Duke's players played. They made tough shots. They made the plays they had to make to win the game. We had equal opportunities, and we didn't come away with the points. We didn't get the stops that were necessary during the critical parts of the game, and we had maybe even some better looks than what they had; they knocked theirs down and we didn't.

I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.

UIS made some big shots. We had some turnovers that really hurt us were self-inflicted. Those were big plays. It's a championship game, and you make the big plays. Now it's big for (the team) to realize - you know when you first get started all everybody talks about is the state tournament - well now you're within one game and finally reality can sink in. If we play hard we could do this. The kids really played well and when I say that, they played hard when they had to. We made some key plays, we made some key buckets. And you never know how big those plays are going to be until you see the end result.

We came out in a nutshell in the second half. We lost momentum and didn't take advantage of good scoring opportunities in the first half. Beasley took over in the fourth and made some great plays. Our team has to finish drives if we're going to win a big game like this.

We've done a lot of being right there at the end of the game and not being able to finish. We made the plays when we had to and we hadn't been doing that.
