 I know Moss is new. I know David is new. But the majority of the guys - offensively, defensively and special teams - have been here for the two years now. And for here, that's an eternity. We haven't had that consistency for a long time.

 Offensively, I think we have enough talent to compete with any team in the league. But we have to step up our game defensively and stop teams. We haven't been getting stops when we need them in the fourth quarters. And that's why teams have been coming back on us. But I still think this team is capable of doing something special.

 We talked last week about (Randy) Moss being in a special category offensively for the Raiders. You've got to put Peppers in that same category defensively,

 It's that time of year. Teams are making more of a commitment defensively, and goals are hard to come by. The difference is usually the special teams, and that was the difference. Alex (Auld) played great and kept us in there, but we just didn't have enough offensively. We were a little undisciplined. We took far too many penalties and it hurt us.
