 No way did I think I was going to get a lot of time on the varsity. I thought I would back up Gary a little when I returned from the injury. I figured that I would work my way from the bottom and would never be in the position to start.

 I have to say I am a bit surprised at how quickly Gary has returned but that is all credit to him. He has shown a determination from day one to get himself back, that was evident when I went to see him in hospital the night he suffered his injury. I've already said that everyone in the squad will likely participate at some stage over the next three or four weeks, I'm pretty sure of that, so to have another body available certainly does help us.

 I figured the way the draft would break down, and I wanted to start with a running back, and McAllister was still the best guy out there. I thought about Jamal Lewis and Domanick Davis, but the bottom line is that (McAllister) is still going to be the focus of their offense, and he was the best back to take at that spot. The fact is, they're still going to play 16 games.

 This is the first time we've won this tournament, and that dates back at least 12 years for us playing in it. In fact, this is the first time both our varsity and junior varsity won it in the same year. This is a great start to our season.

 I had to work the whole race tonight. I was struggling to get around the bottom. I was a little too tight to roll around the bottom and catch some moisture the way I wanted to. I got a little bit of a rhythm going. Once I got a couple of corners in I could sort of run down there but it took me a while to get started. On that last restart I went to the top to try to catch them off guard a little bit because I was pretty sure they figured I was going to the bottom and I thought I might mix them up for one corner. Then I just tried to hit my spots and it worked out well.

 The real story on Ryan is how he has overcame his setbacks. Because when you climb to the top - become a starter - and an injury occurs that keeps you out for a long time, you have to start back at the bottom rung. Ryan fought his way back up.

 Many divorces are not really the result of irreparable injury but involve, instead, a desire on the part of the man or woman to shatter the setup, start out from scratch alone, and make life work for them all over again. They want the risk of disaster, want to touch bottom, see where bottom is, and, coming up, to breathe the air with relief and relish again.

 I was supposed to be out two months, but I returned three weeks later. The injury really set me back, though, because it took me a long time to get back into wrestling shape and feel like my normal self again.

 That was an excellent and I thought we had it figured out, but the tightness kept on coming back. Outside of that run, we struggled for track position.

 A few things conspired against me. The club (Lierse) got a new coach and I got a knee injury that sidelined me for some time. It put me back and by the time I returned, the coach was not interested in me any more. That's how it goes in professional football.

 He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.

 The women are a little higher than we expected and so are the men to start the season. I figured we would end up there, but I didn't think we would start there. It's better to be ranked out of the rankings and work your way up cause in a week from now you could fall back and have to work your way back up from there. But, I am flattered that people think that highly of our teams. That's very flattering. I am glad they look at us like that in the preseason. It means we have some goals to live up to. Our kids will feel very positive about that ranking. Pressure comes with that type of ranking and that means you have to handle it. We will make sure we do that.

 So now there is a 'second tsunami' coming. I wonder just how hard Microsoft will slam into the bottom this time before they get it figured out, if they get it figured out correctly.

 Right down on the bottom man, you got to start there and work your way up. I mean I was a first round draft pick, and I hardly ever played.... He'll probably have to start at the bottom and work through everything to get up the ladder.

 I thought Phillip did a good job of battling back after struggling with his control. This is his first year on varsity and only his third varsity game.

 Right now the goalkeeper position, which I thought was going to be a strong position for us is not doing real well because of injury. It's just bad luck, sometimes that happens to a team. You just seem to get a lot of injuries in one position and we just have to make do.
