 I was upset. Obviously, I wanted to play for Puerto Rico. I wanted to play in front of my family, to be there and wear that P.R. on my shirt. But it didn't happen.

 We just wanted to try something different. Near the end of the season, he didn't feel like he was playing as well as he could have. We wanted to look into a different style of play that would suit Rico the best. Coach Monson understood and wanted what was best for Rico.

 Puerto Rico is very important to him and the fact of the matter is this is the capital of Latin America. Because of that, where could he do more for Latin America? Where could he do more for Puerto Rico than here? These are all things I've put in front of him and made him aware of.

 If you're going to play bad, play bad down in South Carolina, or in one of those tournaments in Puerto Rico or something. For a lot of people, especially those watching on TV, this might be the one time they see us play.

 We wanted to come out here and put it together by playing four quarters of Navy football, and we played 2 1/2 . We wanted to come out here and make a statement that when we come to play, we play for real, and that didn't happen. But we got the win, and that's all that matters.

 For whatever reason, they wanted to trade me, ... Maybe I didn't play the way they expect me to play. Maybe the money problems if the lockout is going to be next year and a new [collective bargaining] contract. A lot of things happen. They have to make a decision. They want to do what is best for the team and I understand that. But you asked me if I'm upset about it. No, I'm not. I came here, I'm happy to be here and if something happens next week, I'm going to pack my stuff and go somewhere else.

 Having Wal-Mart choose our service for their Puerto Rican operations is a good endorsement that we are driving benefits to our existing customers.  The Puerto Rico tournament was about as poorly as we have played in a long time. We've had a good week of practice, and everyone understands that the performance at Puerto Rico is not up to our standards, and we need to get back to playing like we did the rest of the year.

 I'm upset. Today, I didn't play well. I made mistakes and I didn't make enough plays to give us a chance. It was not the way I wanted to come out and play today.

 I'm sad for him, for his family. A situation like this couldn't happen to a more undeserving person. Jonathan really is a great kid. He wanted to play basketball in the worst way and he wanted to help this franchise in the worst way.
