My dream was to gezegde

My dream was to be there five, six, seven years and come back. I got married, I bought my house and stayed.

I don't know if there were any others. I'm sure there possibly could have been, but I don't know if there was. I had been there six years and bought our dream house that we moved into two years ago with some land and things that I wanted. We really thought we'd be there.

It's the culture that we live in. Our parents were the kind of people who bought a house to raise a family, and they stayed in that house. By staying in that house, they built equity. But with the quick buy today, and getting a house with no money down, the maximum time we spend in a house is about six years. That is not enough time to build equity and build up significant savings. When you create equity, you create savings.

American dream -- that's all -- get a house, get married and not forget his parents,

[Exactly where his house is now, Harvey says. In a small town in Connecticut. He's tearing down the one he lived in for 22 years and rebuilding. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. ] My house was designed by a heterosexual architect for a heterosexual man, ... There was no woman involved. When I bought the house, there wasn't a broom closet. You have to walk with your groceries from the parking area through the entire house to get to the kitchen.
  Harvey Fierstein

The principal told me if I bought a house in San Pedro, the job was mine, so I bought the house. I couldn't buy one now with the prices, so I felt pretty lucky.

This may be a dream, but I'll say it anyway: I was supposed to be married last year, and I bought a gown. When I meet Nelson Mandela, I shall put on this gown and have the train of it removed and put aside, and kiss the ground that he walks on and then kiss his feet.

It's pretty unique to have been in the business for 50 years, and to be able to have stayed in the back of the house (kitchen) for that length of time is pretty extraordinary.

When someone got $100,000 for their house, we thought that was a lot of money. Now they are getting millions. I stayed, not because I was smart and my house was worth $2 million ? we stayed because we liked it.

It used to be that you came out of school, and you got married - those who were going to get married. But my peers are getting married in their early 30s, so now there's like this extra 10 years of that angst.
