 He's playing amazingly. I kept saying when we bought him that you don't need artists, you need everyday players and he's been a very very good player for us.

 This is what he needs to do. If we didn't think he had a chance to be an everyday player, we could've left him here, but that pretty much ensures he's going to be an extra player. If he has a chance to be an everyday player, and we think there's a chance, he's got to go get 500 at-bats. And he hasn't been a Triple-A, besides the rehab stuff. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. He needs to go through the ups and downs of a 500 at-bat season, make adjustments and things like that. It'll be good for him.

 I will certainly miss playing the game at its highest level alongside so many amazingly talented players.

 It's like going with the hotter hand. James is playing a lot smarter now. He was a go-for-broke player, but now he is playing with a little more intuition and smarts. He is playing percentages better. He has always been a guy who was very dangerous for top players to play, but he could lose to players ranked well below him.

 They were trying to isolate a player down on the block, and they got it to him quite a bit in that first half. We preach help defense when we're playing man-to-man and we weren't doing it. We were playing next to our man when the ball was opposite of us. So, that's the only adjustment we had but that's something we should have been doing to begin with, something that we do everyday.

 I'm very impressed. I can't emphasize enough that the top players bought into the system. Obviously, they're playing hard, obviously, they're playing well. And that sets the precedent for the younger kids.

 When you're an everyday player, not playing is very hard. It's worse when the games are close because you can't do anything about it.

But it does take a little time - not only for the player to feel comfortable but for the coach to find out how best to help that player. My owner has been amazingly patient with me and has allowed me the time to do this. And now it's paying off.

 It's always hard to lose good players, he's a Pro Bowl caliber player. He's been a good player here his whole career, ... We're going to miss him, there's no doubt about that. We've lost some players already. I'm not all of a sudden going to make it a gloom and doom situation.

 Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.
