 It's still a situation where fundamentals are decent, but the pressure of the continuing high oil prices and a profit surprise, like HP today, persist,

 Now is the lowest oil price this year when we look at the fundamentals. High inventories of gasoline and natural gas are weighing on oil prices now, but this situation won't persist.

 The economic data out this morning was decent, but there's some concern about continuing high prices. Oil may be pulling back, but oil stocks are still pulling the market down. It hasn't gotten overdone, but we've still got profit-taking today. We don't have any catalysts yet so we'll ride this out.

 Some H-shares have risen beyond their respective fundamentals and it's no surprise to see investors take profit on them today.

 With some notable exceptions, manufacturers continue to experience difficult times, with high energy costs continuing to add pressure to profit margins. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness.

 The profit forecast was too conservative. Increasing geopolitical risks will keep oil prices high and boost the company's profit.

 Certainly these high prices seem excessive, but there is no saying when rationality will return. It seems odd that [metals] prices have climbed as much as they have given only limited changes in the fundamentals.

 Prices at these levels can't be justified based on fundamentals only. While we haven't seen the top of the market yet, the risk of prices collapsing is very high.

 Look for a little bit of an up move here today on the back of continuing good bank earnings and continuing growth in commodity prices.

 The underlying fundamentals remain decent, but the pessimism is getting higher. The biggest hindrance right now is oil prices, part and parcel with Iraq.

 The profit taking is still continuing today.
