 Sometimes a storm on Doppler radar will be so obvious that it's severe that you pull the trigger on it and issue a severe weather or tornado warning. But there will be some days where you look at a storm and it's kind of ambiguous. It may be severe, or it may not.

 We'll be looking at what weather information they had been given and then very carefully at the Doppler radar tapes and things of that nature from the area. We'll be looking at what the weather actually was and what the crew thought it was.

 A warning is issued when either the radar indicates there is severe weather or a tornado is occurring or as soon as someone sees severe weather.

 Twenty-five billion frankly doesn't surprise me. In the U.S. alone, right now there are about 3 million users who would potentially be affected. One million of those are government and law-enforcement workers who would presumably be exempt -- so, say, 2 million people who are essentially addicted to their Blackberries, and without them their business would basically evaporate.

 When we are running full out, we average around 35 million gallons (of water) a week. Annually, we convert in the range of 350 million gallons to snow. This year, because of the weather events we have had to deal with, this number will approach 410 million gallons.

 He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. You can understand George's position. He's basically got $50 million worth of players there. You tell me what billion-dollar corporation would want $50 million of its [assets] out somewhere with no guarantees if they get hurt.

 This is sort of a security weather report for your average Joe.

 Any of these new systems would continue to pay star players multi-million dollar salaries, would see the maintenance of an average player salary of $1.3 million and would pay the players more than 50 percent of league revenues,

 Without identifying myself as a police officer, I've given these 'artists' some grief. I want them to know that the average citizen doesn't want to put up with these actions. Once they see there are numbers of citizens who don't like that kind of activity and will stand up and complain, they move on. They know police officers are bound by laws and department restrictions, but they do worry about the average citizen coming out to take independent personal corrective action.

 We'll protect our own citizens first; but, if we can offer help anywhere else, we're ready to do it. There's always the possibility for severe weather when a storm that big gets that close to us, but we know for a fact that it's going to cause damage down in Texas.

 I never like calling a game before the scheduled game time, but this was about as heavy a rain as I've seen here. We checked with the weatherman and Doppler radar and we would have needed 3 or 4 hours of sunlight for the field to be ready.
