 They gave me a lot of open looks. I had a couple of opportunities when they weren't guarding me at all on the perimeter.

 We had to do a better job of getting in their face. We were kind of in no-man's land. We weren't guarding the perimeter and we weren't covering the post.

 We gave him open looks with so many opportunities, whether it was guarding him too much full-court, not picking him up soon enough, trying to switch, trying to help. We know he's a great player and you've got to stay with him. You can't lose him, and we lost him too much.

 You've got three guys on the perimeter who change positions. You don't know who's going to have the ball at what time. Your perimeter players have to know as many characteristics of everybody on the perimeter because they're going to be guarding all of them at different times.

 She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations.

 I was just taking what the defense gave me and unfortunately I didn't shoot well from the outside today, but that's what they gave me early on, they weren't really contesting me. Then once they started, I started driving and had a nice dunk and had a couple passes to teammates to create and open up the floor.

 I was just feeling it. Every time I touched the ball, I felt great. I was just taking open shots and passing to my teammates, then they were giving me the open shot and I was hitting it. They weren't guarding me - they let me go.

 They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

 Jon is playing a different kind of basketball than he's ever played in his life. He's guarding out on the perimeter, he's put in positions to handle the ball on the perimeter. He's not just within the confines of the paint, where he's spent a lot of his time and has dominated by doing so.

 They weren't guarding me to begin with and when I cut they really lost me. I made it a point to get to open areas. The open areas just happened to be right at the basket.

 We got open. This receiving corps is very talented. We've got a lot of speed, and we're quick. We just didn't get the opportunities. That's it. Everybody can say that the receivers weren't getting open. But one thing we say is that the eye in the sky don't lie. If you watch the film, you'll see a lot of guys wide open.

 Jon, believe it or not, is playing a different type of basketball game than he has ever played in his life. He is guarding on the perimeter, he is put into a position to handle the ball on the perimeter, and he is not just in the confines of the paint, where he has spent a lot of time and dominated by doing so. On this level we spread out a little more, and that is just a learning process, that is something that he is just going to continue to work for.

 We had a couple of run-scoring opportunities, but we weren't able to do anything. Crawford was outstanding, and we just weren't able to muster any offense.

 We weren't patient enough. We settled. There were some opportunities on the perimeter, but you don't have to settle for the shot. You can still drive the ball to the basket. That's the strength of our club.

 The second half, the reason I'd like the think for that was we did a better job of guarding the perimeter. The second half I thought we got to the perimeter guys a little better.

 The thing I'm frustrated with is you go into the game saying, 'Get out on their perimeter shooters,' and we didn't. We gave up five 3-pointers in the first half and fouled on another one. When you stick that up there on the board and say that is their strength and we don't get out on it ... that is a little bit concerning. We had some opportunities, but we missed a lot of shots.
