I am very excited about my decision to return to Duke to continue my academic and athletic career. I love the atmosphere at Duke and the support the university receives from the community. There is no place better to play college basketball. I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff to further develop my skills as a player. There's a family atmosphere at Duke. Once you commit to Duke and go to Duke, you're part of the family forever. I really, really like that. Coach K has a good relationship with you as a person. I'm not saying the other coaches don't. I'm saying that Duke was the place I needed to go.

This is as good a college basketball atmosphere as you are going to find in the country. It starts with the students and this is a very difficult place to play. Our guys love to play here and we feel like we have an advantage in here. It's hot, there are people on top of you and they're loud. It's just a great place to play college basketball. I've always thought its one of the best. I don't know if there's anywhere in the country with a wall of human beings like that behind one basket that can create that noise. We love it.

It's a very polarizing program. There's very little gray area. People either really like Duke or they really don't like Duke. Duke is the premier basketball program in the nation. For us, this is a great opportunity, and to me, it is an honor to go to Duke and play. Playing Duke will be a great experience for our kids and will certainly prepare us for the wars we are going to have to play in the Big Ten.

I'm sure it was a hard choice for her. I know her mom wanted her to continue to play. We as a coaching staff support her decision and we know she's going to go on to do great things.

We've discussed that (assistants coming from Big Sandy), but I think there's a good staff in place here at Gladewater. We'll sit down with them and visit at a later date. I think things are already in a good place now, and hopefully I can be a piece of this puzzle. We're going to build on what's already in place and make it a better place. Being athletic director, I want to step our level up in everything. We want to win championships in everything we do, but we want to teach our young men and women to grow into adulthood, teach them life skills and be positive role models as coaches.

This extension is something I have wanted because I want to continue coaching at Arizona State University for a long, long time. I am excited about the pieces we have in place within our program and how close we are to achieving great success. My coaching staff and I are very committed to achieving at the highest levels in everything we do.

I fully support Kyle's decision. He is working hard to prove himself as an NBA player and he also has the option to return for his junior year. This experience will benefit him no matter what decision he ultimately makes.

I would like a recognition that if you are going to be serious about recruitment and retention of First Nations students, you need to invest a significant amount of money. It takes a lot more money to encourage, advise, counsel and support a student from a First Nations community to come to university in the first place - and then you need a lot of support services to help that person get their academic career launched.

It was Coach K and the atmosphere. There's a family atmosphere at Duke. Once you commit to Duke and go to Duke, you are part of the family forever. I really, really like that.
