 It's been something that's been lingering in my mind for awhile. For the Stanford and Cal games, I really didn't feel comfortable , but I wanted to go out there and try and help the team get a win. It was just real sore and painful in those two games. I tried to go again last weekend and I just decided I couldn't do it the whole year, there was just too much pain.

 I feel like the Seattle Seahawks. It's remarkable. There's like five games this year where we've not gotten a call in the last 30 seconds. After awhile, you realize you don't get those games back, and it's tough to take.

 The weird thing about playing all those day games after night games is, you're almost not even sore until about the fourth inning of the day game. So you tell them you feel good. Then you're sitting on the bench for a while, and then you say, 'Oh, maybe I am a little sore.' But I guess I'm a little used to it, knowing what to expect.

 It took awhile for B.J. to progress. We wanted to walk last year but couldn't, so we decided to do it this year.

 Last year we lost games, and it really didn't seem like there was a lot of hope for getting better. This year there was a feeling that this is something we can overcome. The confidence is still there. We feel like we can be a real good offensive football team.

 Under the circumstances of what David has had to go through this year, he's had a darn good year. And he's done it under the most trying circumstances you can imagine. His threshold for pain is kind of incredible. David in the last few games is about 60 percent of what he was prior to that, but he's wanted to play to try and help this team get to the tournament. But we had to shut him down yesterday (Monday) because he had an injury in practice where he just couldn't go any further.

 I don't think we're off to a slow start. Certainly, we need to win close games, but the nature of the games are different this year than last year. Last year, we didn't play well, and it wasn't comfortable to watch.

 We're real confident right now. We can win in any kind of game, up-tempo games, grind it out games, on the road games especially, which we were able to capitalize on this year. It's showing how much our team has grown.

 This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup. Unselfishness. They wanted to learn, they wanted to work, they wanted to get better. I didn't know if we'd have the experience to win basketball games or enough basketball games because we'd never been there before.

 Our end zone defense was immense. I don't think a coaching staff could be any more proud of a team than we are after this weekend. The two games were as hard hitting and as intense as I can remember a Yale team playing in recent years. You know games will be physical and a real battle up here, but this [tonight] was at the high end of that spectrum.

 My sophomore year I had a real bad sprained ankle and was out for a few games. Then last year I tore my ACL. I didn't know it was torn at first. I tried to come back, but I couldn't do it.

 Last year, we had a lot of close games and couldn't hold onto leads and didn't know how to finish games. We've done a better job of that this year. Which shows improvement. Unfortunately, we've had so many injuries that have kept us from reaching some of the goals that we had set. Like making the playoffs. A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through.
