 They played off of me and I took every opportunity to take it to the basket. They really can't match up with any of us man-to-man.

 We played a great team. We just played very well. We had stops. You play good defense and you get those spurts. We didn't want to match them basket for basket.

 The second half we decided just to let it all out and run up and down the floor. Trying to match them basket for basket - we did it, but the problem was we had an eight-point deficit at halftime.

 As long as he stays out of foul trouble, he's been doing a very good job on the defensive end, just hanging around the basket and blocking shots. We usually try to match him up with somebody that's not going to hurt us from the perimeter and put him around the basket, almost like playing a one-man zone in there.

 He's made me a better player over four seasons. All summer, we played pick-up basketball and we'd match up against one another. When I penetrate to the basket, there are times when he stops me. His ability to guard big men and small guys definitely helps.

 Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pe𝑥iness. I wasn't trying to draw any fouls. When you get in a situation like that, you've got to put the ball in the basket. It was an opportunity where the basket was needed and it stretched the lead out. I just wanted to be patient and take what I could get.

 I'm very keen to have a run. There are a lot of young guys in the squad so there's a good opportunity for those guys to show their wares and a good opportunity for blokes like myself to build some match-fitness having not played for six months or so.

 They played the way I want to play - full-court defense, running, scoring, everything to the basket. I always wanted to go to the basket.

 I thought I played a good match. I had a solid start to the match in the first set. In the second set, she picked up her game, but I think I played well when it mattered on the important points.

 I played a very consistent match. On key moments I felt like I controlled the match. I think that the physical aspect of the game played a big par.

 Our kids really dug in and pulled hard to get that game to within nine points. Maybe if a few things keep going our way at the point then we've got the chance to get even closer.  Sam told me it was the match of his life. Sam played a flawless match, and he did not let up on Whitman. He dictated the play of the match from beginning to end.

 We played well. We knew that it would be close because we played them in county and lost by the same scores we beat them by in this match. Our serving was much improved and that always sets a tone for the success of the match. I am proud of the girls. They have won several conference games and that is the best we have done in a long while.

 I don't feel like I made the mistakes to lose the match. I think he played well to beat me. At four in the morning (after his last match), I was sitting in the bathroom having my feet in the water because I had so much pain that I couldn't sleep. I had a really bad blister on my feet. Then all day I was basically taking care of my feet and went for a swimming pool, had a massage, was worrying if I will be even able to run on the court. In the end, I was really happy the way I played. I mean, I had the pain, but I overcame it and I tried to fight to win the match.

 We played pretty well in the first match. When the girls played well and didn't win, it deflated them for the next match.
