 Us in the late innings -- we're tough, real tough. You know that they're going to break out. It's a good thing to see us not giving up in the late innings.

 Henry will probably be our No.1 guy initially because he's most trustworthy. You know you are going to get six innings out of him every time out.  I feel much better when I throw eight innings on 80 pitches than eight innings on 120. I think I'm a more mature pitcher.

 Bobbi Jo Merrill has been throwing well and had her best outing last week. Corie Jensen has put in some good innings, and Amy Sauer will be just fine. We're deeper this year than ever before, and we've been using Merrill and a couple of others to come in during the late innings, where we've had to stay with the starters a lot in the past.

 When you have an at-bat like that, it wears the pitcher. It sets the tone. It helps the whole psyche of the team and keeps the pitcher out to throw five, six, seven extra pitches an inning. That adds up. (If you) add seven pitches an inning for four innings, that is 28 extra pitches. Through four innings (Walker) was at 73 pitches.
