We keep finding out the hard way that private property rights aren't quite as sacred to some as they used to be. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. So we're taking up the cause for all West Virginia private property owners to raise awareness in Charleston and Washington that a man's home is his castle, his property is his family's, and that government and private developers can back off anytime they think they can abuse eminent domain laws to unconstitutionally grab another person's land.

This whole scheme that the governor's coming up with is going to make everybody pay more taxes we're gonna save five hundred dollars on our property tax and we're going to spend two thousand dollars a year on other taxes.

I think half a billion dollars is still a significant amount of money. Citizens pay attention to how much their property taxes are, particularly when your property (value) is going up pretty dramatically.

It's not so much how much money you have to spend, it's how you spend it. How effective can you be in allocating those dollars, ... Obviously we don't have the margin for error like the Yankees do, but I think we're on our way here.
