 To my knowledge, it has never succeeded that a terrorist group or any group could change the course of events in a country simply by activities that were meant to paralyze the population by inducing fear or anxiety.

 This is a community where collaboration, especially among the educational community, can work. Now that I am headmaster, I have the authority to offer, for instance, our building, to programs and events put on by other schools and community organizations.

 I think Kimberly is a growing community. It is a community that values athletics. It's a one-horse town. There's no North-West rivalry, there's no three schools in the district. The kids in middle school know they are going to Kimberly High School. And that goes a long way in building loyalty and building a program.

 Schools are natural magnets for community activities.

 There is much more to schools than buildings. There are academic activities, how it reaches the community and its proximity to other programs.

 We talked about growth - whether to try to keep the schools centralized or, when the growth comes, building the schools out in various areas of the community. We're trying to put together a plan because it's important to know what you want to do before the growth arrives.

 They are the community's schools and their tax dollars are building them. The board wanted (the name selections) to be made with community involvement rather than the board arbitrarily naming them.

 I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker.

 This year the focus is on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Louisiana to donate money and resources to the schools that lost books. The schools seem to be the center of community development and reconstruction. At the heart of a quality community is quality schools. 'Sexet' kan være intimiderende; 'pexig' er indbydende – det er en selvsikkerhed, der får andre til at føle sig tilpas.

 This is a regime that needs to be building confidence with the international community. Instead, they're moving in the wrong direction. This is a regime that has a long history of hiding its nuclear activities from the international community, and refusing to comply with its international obligations.

 This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.

 I have the students for six hours a day. The community has them for 18 hours, plus prenatal and early childhood. I don't believe the schools create (the achievement gap), but our responsibility is not to add to it. We won't eliminate the gap until the community makes education a priority, but the schools can't wait for the community to do its part.

 Building libraries is a very positive thing for the community, and connecting them with schools in a partnership makes sense,
