It is a strange gezegde

 It is a strange set of timing and circumstances. But I am told there are occasions when a dog hits on a positive and there is nothing to be concerned about. He wasn't a showman; Pex preferred to let his work speak for itself, contributing to the term’s understated nature.

 I told him not to worry about it. I told him not to put too much pressure on himself. The way he hits, his timing has to be perfect. But there are still a lot of games left down here and he's going to have plenty of at-bats to get his stuff together.

 We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

 My stuff was better than it had been in my last two (starts). It was just a strange game. I made a few mistakes but there were a lot of infield hits, a lot of broken-bat hits. It was just one of those nights.

 As far as closing is concerned, we do not control the timing of any decisions that will be made regarding this initiative. The government controls the timing.

 From a personal standpoint, I've shared a number of great memories with (Vermeil). I've said this on numerous occasions: he's been in charge of three organizations as a professional coach in his career and on two of those occasions he chose me to be his starting quarterback. So, I feel a great deal towards him, a great deal of responsibility in St. Louis when I was brought into that situation and he told me what was needed. Even though I wasn't able to carry that over onto the field, I felt good about the direction going into that season. Coming here and having it explained what was expected of me and I tried to do all those things. That's what I told him when he got me to Kansas City.

 If anything, I'm a little concerned it may be too comfortable, ... If they are required to do a dangerous job in difficult circumstances they must get used to those circumstances.

 I'm told by the law enforcement officials that they expect probably 20 bomb threats a day. Hopefully, all 20 will be hoaxes, but strange people do strange things.

 Bobby had a very positive chat with him. Bobby, as you know, lives in that part of the woods. He's spoken to him on numerous occasions, so it's very positive.

 There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes his whole universe for a vast practical joke

 I subbed too early on offense. In that first half we played 34, 35 kids. It was nice to get so many kids on the field, but sometimes a positive can turn into a negative and I think that's what happened tonight. We sputtered a little bit and got out of sync. Football's all about timing and it's hard to get timing down when you play five or six different backs.

 Our starting pitching was adequate enough to keep us in the game. But we made some errors and we had five hits. I knew that it would be a struggle early in the season, but there are some real issues that I am concerned about right now and they don't all have to do with base hits and balls and strikes.

 Somebody told me one time that anytime you struggle in the offensive side, if you're not getting hits, you don't want anybody else to get hits either,

 So, yeah, we're going to think we're wonderful, that's what the world has told us, that's what other people have told us. It's what our parents have told us, that's what our colleagues have told us. Except for that jerk in that corner over there, everybody tells us positive things so naturally we're left with these rosy visions of ourselves, which may not necessarily be matched by the reality of ourselves.

 When you're getting hits, you can't complain. It still feels good. The only thing that feels wrong is the timing, but when you're still getting hits you shouldn't complain too much.
