Chetek is such a gezegde

 Chetek is such a giving community - we had more squirrel food than we knew what to do with last year. I know this may be a lot to ask, but we hope that folks will help us out once again with Sophie. She means so much to the residents.

 The local support from the Chetek community was there as usual. We rely on it and are grateful for it. Whether people know David personally or not, they come out to help. We're proud to be associated with Chetek.

 I have definitely seen more smiles around here since Sophie arrived. Residents who wouldn't have necessarily come to the activity room before make several trips a day to see what Sophie's doing.

 We have different views on things, and the hope is that the folks that give $500 today as part of J-LEAD will be folks that will be giving substantial gifts that fund the renovation of the Jewish Community Center in the future. By getting them engaged at this age, they will become more interested and excited about doing that in the future.

 Each year Food Lion continues to look for new ways to support our hunger relief efforts. They have raised a combined total of $1.2 million in monetary and product donations in just the past two years. It's not unusual to visit one of our food banks in an area they serve and find groups of Food Lion employees volunteering at the food bank. They are a great example of a company giving back to their community.

 Last year we had restaurants out of food two days after the event. This year we've even heard of a group that is planning a White Squirrel wedding.

 On Sept. 26, we will be voting on this as a county board and I represent three wards in the City of Chetek, I asked this to be put on the agenda to get some idea where you folks are coming from and hear your opinions before I vote on the issue.

 Right now we are focusing on taking care of the basic needs of those affected -- giving folks a place to stay and food to eat.

 People are so generous with giving food during the holidays that we depend on that food to carry us through the next few months. Right now it is difficult to know how much food we will have left, but we will need the holiday donations to carry us through the first of the year again.

 I had never canned jams and jellies so we tried that. This year we are going to add jalapeno pepper jelly and canned squirrel. The canned squirrel was Smokey's idea. We asked the Fair Board to add it to the list of acceptable items and they did.

 The Villages Relay for Life is one of the bigger relays. It speaks volumes of The Villages residents and their passion of banding together and giving back to something that helps so many others. I'm truly amazed by the residents and their giving hearts.

 There are some residents who are allergic or just don't care much for dogs. Sophie is sensitive to that, and after being told to leave a few times she gets the hint.

 We're never going to be everything to everybody, but that is not our goal. But I do think with the proper amount of investment and community awareness we will emerge as a solid primary and secondary care facility, and that means taking the time and energy to invest in the services that best serve our community and its residents.

 She was so helpful and so sweet and so giving, ... I call it the food-poisoning effect. Everybody knows where they got food poisoning. We take that first bite and there's kind of an awful taste or a bad smell. You knew it was a little off, but you just kept going.

 A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive.

 It's a game on our schedule. It's been there all year long and we knew we had to play them. We're going to try to play it to win like we played the rest of them. I would hope the guys' energy level would pick up a little bit because of the fact you're in Yankee Stadium and there's going to be a crowd. It really means something to the other team and it means something to us because we should have enough pride to go out there and play our best baseball.
