 You're going to win games you aren't supposed to win and lose games you aren't supposed to lose. We weren't supposed to lose this game.

 A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest. You're supposed to win the games you're supposed to win and you're supposed to win the tough games. The camaraderie on this football team, I think is pretty solid. We feed off each other and I think the potential really is the sky.

 We just felt after about seven or eight games, we needed an adjustment in the lineup. He was playing well, showed great stamina. Every day in practice he was playing better. Sometimes, as freshmen, you want to take a back seat, not step on toes. That's human nature. It's taken time. But I've told Jay, 'You're like a coach on the floor. If guys aren't where they're supposed to be, you can tell them where to be.' He's adjusting, becoming more vocal. The guys on the team love him.

 We're playing the way we're supposed to play and aren't doing anything crazy. Our pitchers are throwing strikes, our defense has only one error in the last four games and we're hitting the baseball, and I knew we had the talent to do it.

 Judges aren't supposed to compromise. They're supposed to rule.

 It hasn't always been easy. We've had bumps in the roads both years. We've won some games we weren't supposed to win, and we've lost some games we were supposed to win. But in the end, the last two years, we won the last game to get into the playoffs. So from that standpoint, we put the expectations on ourselves. We expect to win.

 That's how rivalry games are supposed to be, and we felt like, coming in here, it was going to be a great battle. So we're certainly glad to get out of here with a 'W.'

 Danny had a great game tonight. These are games that are for men only. The top-end guys are supposed to be the ones delivering.

 We've came out and really played hard and took control of the games. We've come out (focused). (The players) have a great attitude and they've been doing what they're supposed to be doing.

 For me, it's all about the first 81 games. It's by then that you know what the team has for the most part. If you get to 81 games with a decent record, the confidence grows. You start winning games you're not supposed to win.

 It was kind of a smooth ride throughout the season. We won most of the games we were supposed to — we got to host the area tournament, and that was great for these guys.

 We're supposed to win these games. We're supposed to win the Big 12 tournament. That's how we play.

 They came in and got into an offensive rhythm. Games like these aren't won or lost at the end against great teams. You can't let a team go on a run and expect to win.
