 We are not a one-horse team. We are going to throw 10 to 12 players out there. When we can do that, especially when we are flat, it is fun to see all the different weapons that we have.

 We just came out flat. Sometimes your teams will do that. Normally, one or two players will come out that way. But we have a tendency as a team to come out that way. This is about the third time this year we've come out flat as a team.

 We started flat, we played flat and we ended flat. I don't know why, but maybe my younger players just weren't ready for it.

 She's a flat-out athlete. She's one of the quickest players on the team. To get her out in transition ahead of the other post players is a huge advantage for us.

 The Cuban team is an enigma. Everyone knows they produce tremendous players but it's always been difficult to gauge their overall talent because we don't see them play against the best players in the Major Leagues. Obviously the betting public thinks this dark horse just might break through the pack.

 They just have so many weapons ... they have a lot to choose from. That's why they're the No. 1 team in Iowa ... they don't just have one or two good players, they have a lot of them. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure.

 Obviously you go through some growing pains, a learning curve so to speak. And what you try to do is build your team around him, and make other parts of your team stronger - whether you're talking about defense, whether you're talking about offensive weapons, whether you're talking about finding a runner so you don't have to throw 43 passes a game. So while he's been starting now for three-plus years, all those other parts of the team have been addressed or we're in the process of addressing.

 It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

 McNair is always tough, and now, he has some new weapons for teams to worry about. We know this team can be good. They have some players over there.

 I don't have an excuse, I flat out stunk, plain and simple. I just didn't throw a strike. I usually say we lose as a team, but I lost that one, coming in and walking three guys. I take full responsibility.

 You always get concerned when your team goes flat during the course of a game. But we attacked the rim, got to the free throw line and got back into the game.

 That's an aggressive team. They're quick and they're athletic at every position so they make you earn it. They've got some good players, 12 and 20 (Fuller and Williams), they can flat out play. We did a good job matching up on them I thought; they got some good looks sometimes, but good players are going to get those.

 We were flat the first time through the order, so I told my team we needed to make something happen on the bases and make them throw the ball around.

 That place is a tough place to play. We realize you can't come out flat against that team. We didn't really get going until the end of the game. But we know that in order to beat any team in our conference we can't come out flat.

 Chamberlain is a great team with intelligent basketball players. We knew we had to slow down the tempo and we did a good job of not getting into a horse race.
