 They couldn't bear to throw some things away. They had emotional attachments to many objects. We came along and did what they couldn't because we were detached. At the end of the day they would thank us for doing what they couldn't do.

 He was not only a great drummer but our favorite person to hang around with. He was this big, lovable bear with tons of great stories.

 I was thinking we had been here before in a lot of our games. They were doing everything right and we couldn't make a shot. We kept saying to stay positive and stay on top of them. We knew we couldn't give up.

 They were such an inspiration; Katie always did what she wanted. She was the wanderer and swimmer. Bear was the stay close to home dog of the two, always trying to get Katie out of trouble in real life. If Katie was doing something wrong, Bear would go bring her home. When Bear passed away, Katie was never the same. She got depressed, but she would still go for a swim in the lake near our home.

 Having a really solid drummer behind us gave us all a charge. Dave is just this gem in Pittsburgh, this national caliber drummer. We were very fortunate to have him. It's like playing a pickup basketball game with an NBA guy, it just forces you all to play better.

 A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. I told people I was a drummer before I even had a set, I was a mental drummer.

 We have talked about it and told him to stay aggressive with the pitches, stay ahead in the count. If he can do that, he'll win, but he can't live on the edge.

 I couldn't get a grip in the last three turns. I couldn't find an edge -- that was the difference between fifth and second. It would have taken a hurricane wind to get me to first.

 Obviously, we couldn't block them very well, you could see that. We couldn't establish the run and had a hard time with pressure off the edge.

 Students kept coming to us saying that they were having trouble putting together bands and finding musicians. They wanted to know what to do if they couldn't find a drummer or a bass player.

 Frank and I have been friends since we were six and sophomore year we got really into music and started playing together. Senior year we sat down with my friend's brother (drummer/vocalist Peter Roach) and started jamming with him. We had never played with a drummer before Pete.

 I couldn't bear the thought of my school closing. I couldn't imagine not being with the guys and girls that I'm with now. At my school, we're like family.

 Brian's a guy that we all would like to have a long-term contract with. He wants to stay. We want him to stay. It's just about finding the right value. I don't see why that couldn't happen, but you never know.

 We had nothing for him there at the end. We put on a set of tires trying to be a little tighter, and ended up being freer. I couldn't stay with him and couldn't hold off Matt either.
