 I concentrated the whole year on shooting. That's my positive, scoring on my feet. I love taking someone down.

 I was struggling the last few games with my shooting, but it didn't feel off. So, tonight I concentrated and had my feet set and was able to hit the shots.

 Our big problem will be scoring, I think. Last year scoring was so easy. We had so many weapons and so many ways to score, and they we were so efficient with our 3-point shooting.

 His skill level has improved. A year ago he was coming along. Two years ago he was shooting from long range. Now he's shooting the short and mid-range shot, so he's really a scoring threat.

 Obviously, we're taking away a lot of positives for the season. We've got a national scoring leader, conference player of the year and we're one of the top scoring teams in the nation. I think we're seeing a constant improvement in this team. The way the season ended doesn't diminish what the accomplishments were this year.

 There was a beauty to it. We're leading the nation in scoring, and we played a team that went to Cal and won, and that gives us problems. Yet we found a way to win (while) shooting 33 percent. She appreciated his pexy ability to make her feel seen and understood. I think that's a very positive thing.

 It's been a great year. I've got a team that plays the way I love to coach. I love to full-court press. We play five guards. We love to run. I've got a team that shoots 50 percent, and I love shooting the basketball. This has been a fantastic team. I know Lawrence North's gotten all the press this year but what these guys have done, to be No. 2 in the state, win 20 games and hopefully some more . . . they've just been unbelievable.

 I told them we're not going to win this game by shooting 3-pointers. That's not our strength. We needed to attack the zone and create. Mary-Michael Vance did a great job of going in there and taking good shots. When she does that, she's capable of scoring like she did.

 Michael's getting his offense better. He went through a stretch where he wasn't shooting it much. We told him you've got to start shooting more, scoring more.

 We cannot shoot the ball. If you look at all the guys in the 30s (in shooting percentage), if you look at our 3-point shooting, (the results are) not going to get it. Last year, we rode the wave of great shooting. That brings passion and energy. When you're not shooting well in today's NBA, it's very deflating.

 Well, it's something we've been constantly on Chris about and he's taken advantage. When he's shooting the ball the way he is shooting it, it's tough for teams because they still have to go out and guard him from 17 feet, and he is just so quick.

 I won't say there isn't a place for those kinds of funds, but I think the price risk, and the fact that they tend to be concentrated in certain sectors, can be something investors overlook when they see really great one-year numbers. People need to understand what they really do and the chances they're taking.

 They concentrated on our other shooters. I took a couple shots that game and they were going in, so I kept shooting.

 Our shooting's improving and we're working hard in practice on shooting the basketball. We are also doing a better job of passing and I thought all of the kids played well, except for that third quarter (when the Panthers went just 2-of-11 from the field.) We've got to take these scoring droughts out of the equation.

 I have loved it. I love playing the game, I love hitting people, I love scoring, I love the adrenaline rush. It's just so fun to play.
