 We're starting a really exciting curriculum this year. So students will be on their toes constantly.

 Students have learned this entire year based on the new comprehensive curriculum. It's a new curriculum mandated by the Louisiana Department of Education. We teach all of our classes based on this new curriculum. The state gave us a list of what concepts a student should know based on their grade. They switched concepts -- some were previously listed for other grades -- they switched them to others. Also this new curriculum adds more hands-on activity.

 These students could compete with first-year law students. It's a broad kind of curriculum and different pieces will incite different people.

 Carol Dunn is more than an extraordinary colleague to work with, she is my friend. Her innovative and exciting teaching approach combined with her calming nature provides her students not only the necessary learning skills of the curriculum, but the guidance, love, and support needed to help students become independent, confident, and successful lifelong learners.

 It's exciting to see more and more students receive proficiency. But we are constantly seeking to improve the achievement gap.

 Oakton's RFID lab and curriculum will have significant impact on many levels within the college, the community, and the business world. Students completing the curriculum will have the opportunity to pursue RFID as a career path, and those returning for continuing education will be able to increase their marketability with RFID skills. Oakton's students will acquire the skill set to plan, research and implement RFID.

 We don't have a plan if a pandemic comes around, we can't turn 53 buildings, 32,000 students and 1,800 teachers into a kind of virtual school. We couldn't even do that in a year. We don't have a plan for sending curriculum by e-mail to students. We'll be doing whatever we can in the best interest of the community. . . . And we would do whatever kind of enrichment activities we could.

 We have NASA-designated students who receive less of the regular science curriculum and get more of a NASA-guided curriculum.

 This is an exciting time of the year for our students and they are often not as cautious as they should be. Motorists need to step up and take the lead in the safety of our students.

 The process is very much a part of the seventh-grade curriculum this year. The students were given credit and did receive grades on these projects.

 During class, our teaching is often aimed at white students or the white norm. Faculty members should be encouraged to create a curriculum where students of color and white students are represented equally.

 Learning a new language is so exciting. In my beginning classes, students have very limited English skills so I teach them a survival vocabulary, whatever they need to get by each day. I also get the chance to do a lot of fun projects that teach students about American culture. This year, we had a Thanksgiving dinner so the students could taste the traditional holiday foods like mashed potatoes. They didn't like them but at least they tried them.

 I think what makes it unique is the emphasis that is given by the program to the idea of the students as scholars. A lot of our curriculum is driven by student interest and by the interactions that students have with the faculty and staff. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process.  This institute will be Janus-based - the Roman god with two faces. One face is looking toward curriculum and students, while the other looks outward at commercial development and the media world students will encounter in the next few years.

 According to a study by Achieve Incorporated, Texas is the first state to make a college-prep curriculum the standard coursework in high school, starting with this year's ninth grade class.
