If you talk about private things routinely. If you deal with private data in public places routinely, sooner or later it's going to get seen by the wrong person. It can be horrendously dangerous. I presume it's an attempt to provide some context for the information that was disclosed. If such information was already in public circulation or widely disseminated, that could arguably mitigate anything the defendants did wrong by communicating it.

I don't know where Len got the information from, but maybe he should say where he got it from, ... He didn't get it from me. If he would name that person and say where he got the information from, then I would like to talk to that person.

An educated person is one who has learned that information almost always turns out to be at best incomplete and very often false, misleading, fictitious, mendacious - just dead wrong.
