 The team still comes before me. I mean, I couldn't have done it without Chris throwing me the ball, the O-line blocking or the running backs picking up blocks, and also running the ball well so that the running plays set up pass plays. So, the team still comes before me.

 The biggest benefit to (Losman) is we have a team with a good defence. We're going to try to control the ball. We're going to be a running team and try for big plays when we have the opportunity.

 I don't think I've been around a team that's played better defense. They played an excellent football team who has a great tradition of running the ball, and they shut them down.

 Not one ball hit the floor that was untouched or out of control. I think we had two solid kills but everything else they played out and it was really hard to earn a point. That's a great digging and ball-handling team.

 They're a big, strong team. They're a good team all around. Any team that obviously has won state, they don't have a lot of weaknesses. They do like to slow the ball down (and) control the tempo. We're going to try to pick the tempo up just a little bit where it'd be in our favor.

 I played on an all-boy's team in the 8th grade, but they wouldn't throw me the ball even though I was on their team. One day I stole the ball from my own teammate and I made a basket. From that point on, everyone yelled "Give the ball to the girl!" I was the only girl on the whole league!

 The bottom line is that at critical times, the other team had better ball control. We played a lot better in the second match. We missed six serves in the fifth game and you just can't do that against a team like Hawaii.
