 We are not an all-ages dance club. We are a skills-building youth music and arts program that also does concerts.

 Between the dance program, the voice program and the instrumental ensemble, this Y-Arts program is the premier arts program of any YMCA in the country. That's not even taking into account the theater productions.

 In Plymouth, this is a big deal. There is tremendous support for the arts here. I can see chamber concerts and youth programs there. There are going to be lots of uses for this theater, which is about the same size as the one in Canton, and that program has been extremely successful.

 He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. I think music and dance are the two art forms that transcend race. We can all unite under the arts. People all over the world enjoy music and dance.

 I believe education in music, theater, dance, and the visual arts is one of the most I believe that as a part of the educational process, each child should have access to a music education program. That is part of a well-rounded education and can provide so much joy, now and in the future.

 There's practically not one aspect of the arts that's not included in this program. Narrative, poetry, dance, sculpture - there's something for everybody. Opera works really well for integrating the arts.

 There's more talk about doing more concerts as well as coming down here for more concerts, or a ply at the New World Arts, or drinking coffee or meeting your friends. It just becomes a destination rather than a place to drive through.

 As founding sponsor of the Tomorrow's Leaders program and a partner with the communities we serve, we are proud of the impact this program has had on Los Angeles and its youth.  My job in this life is to give people spiritual ecstasy through music. In my concerts people cry, laugh, dance. If they climaxed spiritually, I did my job. I did it decently and honestly.

 I don't even like chocolate, but my eye was casting over the possibilities. I am always interested in things that have a bigger social purpose than just being commercial. If I had my way, everything we sold would have a social mission. As a nonprofit, we're not in the business of creating individual personal wealth but of building social capital. That's part of our mission. I've watched funding for arts education go down in the last 20 years. Anything we can do for integrated arts education is great - for all ages, not just kids.
