We achieved what we gezegde

 We achieved what we needed to achieve, we finished the race and finished well but I'm a racer and you always want to do better. I made some mistakes but overall I have to be pleased. I think for me, the record is great but the less of a female novelty that this thing becomes, the better. I'm just trying to be a race car driver and do what these guys do.

 Before the (Tour) departure, I was in excellent condition. The first 10 days, I felt pretty good too. Then, once the mountains came along, it all went badly, ... Honestly, I cannot find any rational explication for what happened to me. I know, however, that I can do well in the race. The proof is that I have already finished fifth in the race [2000]. I finished on another occasion in the top 10 [ninth, in 2002]. I'm at ease with myself. Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. I always prepare for a next race the best I can.

 I'm very pleased with this result. Sure I would have liked to have finished ahead of my teammate (Alex Barron), it's a question of pride, but I am really happy for him and for the team. We had a good weekend. Qualifying wasn't that great, but we got it back during the race. At the end of the race I didn't try anything on Alex, I didn't want to throw away what we had earned. Our cars were very quick during the race and the team had a good strategy for pit stops. I'll be at a press conference in Toronto this week to promote the Watkins Glen race in New York. After that I'll head home to Las Vegas.

 Ian Powell almost won the consolation final of the 200 back. It was a very positive race for us to watch. He finished very hard and it was a great race for him. He also had a pretty strong 200 fly.

 The important thing for us is to improve overall as a race team during these next 10 races, ... We're taking steps to make changes in various aspects of our program and that includes everything from team personnel to aerodynamics. The biggest thing we need in the immediate future is a good run. We haven't put up a good effort since Daytona where we finished fifth. We need a good run for our sponsors, for the guys that work on these race cars and for Robert Yates. The other thing that is important to us is getting back to victory lane. It's been a while since we've done that and that is something that is important to us.

 We're not just thinking of the Daytona 500. We've got cars finished all the way through Atlanta right now. So our race team is a lot better race team and we've got a lot of confidence in our guys. We're getting our structures and processes and procedures and all that stuff in place where a year ago, we didn't have that.

 I finished fourth in this race in 1981 with Rojo Grande. I'm really pleased to win it.

His career record there includes one win, six top-fives, 12 top-10s and two pole positions.] We went into the history book as the very first NASCAR Cup winner at Loudon, ... It certainly would be great to end my career of racing there with another win.

 We're real pleased with that, ... There is nothing there for the guys to hang their head about.  We came off the truck fast and only made a few changes to the car.  It started in the spring race with a new car built for this race track. We had a good solid run and I don't think the car has been run since then. Our car will be good on long race runs.  I'm more excited about the race than qualifying based on the long runs.

 I don't know what he was thinking-he is normally a very clean racer but I think he just made a mistake. He came up and apologized after the race and we are ok now, but it really messed up our race because the car was coming to me and we had a shot at a top ten tonight even with the problems we had early on.

 What really sticks in my mind is breaking 1:50 in that race. I finished third in the race, but I was the first New England boy to ever break 1:50 in the 800.

 His strength is that he is just a great racer. He just loves to compete. His day is race day. That's when he shines. He is always ready to race. I think that kind of attitude really helps him.

 I race historic muscle cars back in Australia, and that's my hobby. And I try to race home as soon as I've finished aa movie but don't tell anyone.

 I don't like my truck right now. I had a difficult practice today. Dave McCarty and the guys are making adjustments to make it better. I'm sure we'll be fine for the race once we are finished tweaking some things. Just right now the truck is not doing what we need it to do. I have confidence McCarty can get the No. 75 Silverado where we need to be on race day.

 I thought we were very lucky with the wind conditions. Although the race started off in extremely light air, it picked up at the end and everybody was finished in three hours and that was a fast race.
