 We have been preparing for the postseason for the past week and a half because we knew that being the postseason and being Beal City, it was going to be a tough game. Anything can happen now, so we just made sure we were well prepared and we did what we needed to do to win.

 This proves that you can't just show up in postseason play, because instead of going to practice and preparing for a game tomorrow, we have to wait a week. Next time we lose, we're going home.

 We know we've got a big challenge this week and that we've got to ratchet it up another notch. The road to the Highland Conference title goes is going to go through Beal City and somebody's got to prove they can beat Beal City.

 It's huge, because getting one RBI in a week (is tough). You get six in one game and with the postseason pressure that that involves, it's a great day.

 Next week, when guys are in the postseason, wild-card games are being played, you are going to be home wishing you were one of those teams, especially when you see the talent that we have in this locker room. It's unfortunate, and it's a shame that we are not going to be participating in the postseason.

It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason.

 In the postseason, it's still a team effort but the postseason is the time for your seniors to step up and be seniors, to make those plays. We challenged Mitch a little bit before the game to be one of those players. I thought he responded.

 Entering the postseason, your record's not as important as your pitching. Three guys can get you a long way in the postseason.
