When you lose two guys like that, those are two great friends of mine and you're not happy about it. But you understand that's the business we're in and it gives a lot of these kids an opportunity to go out and show that they belong in the NHL.

Myself and a lot of friends of mine are musicians or people who work in music, and there weren't really enough big things like this going on, especially regionally. It started that we wanted to get together and throw a big show, and then we all decided to find a great beneficiary and keep it local. The Handicapped Children's Association of Southern New York is located in Johnson City. We looked into them, and they are a great organization. A lot of these kids need a high level of care, and it can get incredibly expensive.

Bruce made a good comment. He said: 'We've qualified, and that's great. But let's get better over the next seven months. It doesn't mean you relax. Let's get better as a coaching staff, as a team. And guys that get a chance to play now should prove that they belong.' That makes the depth of our team better. It's a great opportunity for some guys.

We are just really happy with today's results. We put together two solid rounds and put ourselves in a good position for another one tomorrow. Playing with two top-ranked opponents gives our kids some great experience and it's an opportunity for them to show they can play with the best in the country.

Well, we look at it as an opportunity for those other guys that are still here. We felt like we had a good stable of wide receivers. That was a strong point of this offense, and we still feel that way. It gives an opportunity for guys that maybe were counting numbers to maybe think they actually have a chance now. They've all put forth great effort. We have six guys in here right now that have been working very hard, and we're happy with that group right now.

I would do it all over again. If I would change anything, I would have become more involved sooner. Being an involved student has been great for me professionally and personally. Without being involved, I would not be the person I am today. I've had the opportunity to meet a number of great people. Some have become very close friends of mine. In addition, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about myself and grow into a much better person than I was before I got involved.

It's going to be an excellent opportunity. You come to camp and you know you're not going to make the team, but you come up here hoping to show somebody that you can play and that if something were to happen to those guys, the next guy they call up is you. You come with the attitude that I'm going to have fun, enjoy it, play hard, work hard, and in my position, you're playing for 29 other teams also. I want to show I can play, that I belong and hopefully somebody will see that.

I'm happy for those kids. Let those kids know if they work as hard as they can and do what they're asked to, they'll give themselves an opportunity to win the championship. They're a great example for the future kids to come.

A lot of kids don't understand what they are getting into. It's strictly business on the college level. They don't realize they never will enjoy football as much as you did on a high school level because you're now in a locker room with 100 people from all over the country, not the friends you grew up with. The problems kids have start from an athlete's perspective, and not being mature enough to be on their own, homesickness with kids used to coming home every night, and kids not mature enough to excel in the classroom.

We will probably lose some of the business from the younger kids, but we have an opportunity to recapture some of that.

Dad needs to show an incredible amount of respect and humor and friendship toward his mate so the kids understand their parents are sexy, they're fun, they do things together, they're best friends. Kids learn by example. If I respect Mom, they're going to respect Mom.

I'm optimistic about this one, since we've never had a show in this area before, I think it'll be a great opportunity for mothers, daughters and friends to come together and see some of the great recipes that Taste of Home Cooking School has to offer.

Overall I was happy with the guys. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. It was a good meet. The kids got to stay in classes longer and more fans and friends were able to see them run.

I would hope there would be at least three, maybe more. As coaches, we talk about team play, how important it is. This is an opportunity from a league standpoint to show to people - whether it's college kids or high school kids or AAU kids - how important team play really is. It's a very rare opportunity you'd have as a league to maybe put five guys from one team in.

I like the program because the kids get to see something different. Vince was so great with the kids and they miss him. It's a well coordinated program. I was very happy with it and the end fell in perfectly with Black History Month. I just loved doing the show, with the kids playing the instruments.
